FUTURE DIRECTION AND GOALS

Our Mission is:
“To boldly seek the transformation of our community by inviting every person to be a follower of Jesus”

Our Vision is:

“Lemon Cove Community Church will be a welcoming family of imperfect people who find wholeness through Jesus Christ.”

We will accomplish this by adhering to these four pillars:

Worship God
    • We were created to glorify God – every minute of every day – placing our everyday lives before God as an offering of praise.
    • Worship matters – it is our response to all God has done, is doing, and will do.

“Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord!” ~Psalm 150:6

“So here is what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering.” ~Romans 12:1

Reveal God’s love
    • Because when we love the way Christ has loved us, love transforms our community.
    • Because the way God has loved us is too wonderful to keep to ourselves!

“And may you have power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.“ ~Ephesians 3:18-19

Serve Our Neighbors
    • By the Holy Spirit’s power we address needs that prevent people from knowing Jesus.
    • We want to demonstrate God’s compassion to our neighbors.
    • Because Jesus served us.

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” ~Matthew 20:28

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.” ~Philippians 2:3-4

Invite everyone
    • Our doors are always open to everyone
    • So that they will meet Jesus Christ
    • So that we will all grow closer to Christ and each other.

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost!” ~Isaiah 55:1
